Picked this album up for the amazing Dan Clowes cover when I was in middle school.  They had it on the listening station at the old Rhino Records on Westwood Blvd. in L.A., the one on the hill before they moved it down closer to Olympic.  So it was that my introduction to Billy Childish would be with this album.  He’s got such an incredible amount of out-put that it can be a little daunting, but I think this is a pretty safe place to start and additionally thee best album by Thee Headcoats.  Solid from start to finish and featuring the classic teengenerate anthem “Headcoat Man” and some great Headcoatee vocals on “Pokerhuntus Was Her Name.”  All the way through, the smartest dumb tight ‘n’ heavy garage/blues/punk you ever heard.
