On Rainbow Dome Musick (1979) we find occasional Gong guitarist and closed-eyes-open-mouth shredder Steve Hillage collaborating with his long time partner Miquette Giraudy on two incredibly beautiful extended ambient works for synthesizer, guitar, bells, and, of course, the sounds of trickling water. As if we needed more evidence of the paper-thin barrier between New Age music and the ambient avant-garde. Thanks be to Benny for this one.
